This was my process for trying it the first time: Fumble around for a while and eventually find Import -> KiCad Parts Find and upload the .lib Click the Import button in the dialog. Got confused as to whether it imported correctly. There's no box on the schematic, just terminals. I thought maybe this was a bad/incomplete import. Go back to the tab with my project. The import button now has a checkmark next to it. So it was successful? Can't find the part in the library. I got stuck here for a few hours. Consulted the documentation, specifically https://docs.flux.ai/Introduction/parts-and-sub-layouts . There's tons of discussion about sub-layouts, but no simple step by step on how to create a part for, say, an IC, or how to import a part. I tried making the project for the imported part public, but that didn't help either. Eventually after a couple hours I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BW7wmnnLsx4 and after scrubbing through it a bunch, realized I needed to click "Publish Changes..." and finally the part was visible in the library from my original project. IMO, "Publish" doesn't easily map onto what I wanted to do. I just wanted to be able to use the part I imported in my own project, not share it with the world just yet. It also was very nonintuitive that I had to do something else to make the part visible in my library after importing the .lib file.
