Repro steps:
  1. Look for any part you own (or you have edit access to) that is currently visible and searchable in the library.
  2. Open it and update the description or modify any of its property values.
  3. Re-publish the part.
  4. Attempt to search for the part in the library.
Note: Searching for the part using the global search appears to work, as the part still shows up.
