Trying to import a DXF/DWG from Onshape to make a board outline. I followed the how-to, but not seeing option to import an asset

I followed the instructions and was able to add the DXF to the assets.
I followed this how to and was still unable to make the DXF my layout.

I got as far as changing the asset in the object specific rule. The rectangle goes away, and nothing is left in its place. 
This is a critical feature for adoption over Fusion 360 pcba, so I'm hoping this is a standard feature for flux

coolhandluke: That is quite unexpected. Are you able to share the project you are working in with user "Support"? I'd love to jump in and take a look at what might be causing the issue.

Hi coolhandluke
To import an asset into your project, please follow these steps:
Make sure nothing is selected
Scroll to the bottom of the Inspect tab
 on the right side of the app
Click on Asset
 to expand and reveal the Add
 button
Click the Add
  button. A new Manage Assets
 window will pop up from which you can add items
 (assets)
