Added dxf as asset for custom pad, unescapable "Error generating PCB data!"

I am trying to put my name on my project as a solder pad, and the result of my first attempt to do this is that my project is now inaccessible.
Here's what I did:
- uploaded a dxf of my name (likely too large at ~30mm on a side but I was hoping that wouldn't matter for testing.
- right click -> add pad
- add the "asset" property for said pad
- select my dxf as the asset.
- get "Error generating PCB data! Reload the page or report a bug" error at the top.
- reloading causes the same error to pop up.
The project is inaccessible to the point where I can't undo or delete the pad to make the project accessible again. I've already deleted the asset and that did not help things at all.
Even if I have stepped down the wrong path here, I would like to know what workflow I can use to get back to before the change so that I can continue to make forward progress.
I am restricted on what files I can upload, otherwise I would attach the troublesome dxf.

And I can confirm that changing to an svg and using the instructions on this page (https://docs.flux.ai/tutorials/custom-pad-shapes#using-the-pad-shape-rule) still causes the entire project to become inaccessible.

Alright so I ended up being able to hack around and fix this myself. Here is what I tried and then what worked:
- uploaded an svgwith the same ID as the troublesomedxf(previously deleted in the 5 seconds available to mess with the project before it errors). This did not help.
- Figured out that I could 'use' the editor if I deleted the elements blocking the UI, using the developer tab of my browser.
- restored my project to a version before I uploaded the dxf.
Everything is fine and I can get working on this again.
